A Fellowship in Preventive Cardiology is an advanced medical training program focused on preventing, early detection, and managing cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and related risk factors. It aims to provide specialized expertise and skills to healthcare professionals, typically cardiologists or internal medicine specialists, to address the rising global burden of CVD effectively.

The objective of the PGDFM programme is to build the capacity of GP's and enable them to manage more cases so that referral becomes less necessary. The highly specialized research backed program (RCT's + SRMA) are aimed towards MBBS graduates who wish to excel in clinical practice with a strong theoretical foundation and a solid practical hands on training at various hospitals across the country depending on their needs. The curriculum will comprises of two semesters with about 75 problem based, interactive modules. The modules are prepared by highly qualified and experienced faculty from different parts of globe to cater to the health needs of the developing economies.
